This week I decided to switch it up a little bit. I am still working towards the same weekly goals of removing render and cutting a whole in the floor, the problem is I need to clean up the concrete in order to have space to remove the next section or render or the floor. Alas that is a terrible job, and one which I could not convince myself to do.

So instead I do something fast where I could see progress, I started pulling out the walls in the room which will become my upstairs bathroom.

This room, is another beautiful room of gloss panelling. In order to remove the wall to the room I am currently working on, I need to strip the ceiling and the stairs box.

The box over the stairs has been one of the weirdest features of this house. It isn't strong enough to withstand weight and it just looks bizarre. So destroying it was bringing me great pleasure. Although I was slightly delayed by the radiator at the end of the box.

I started the work on the roof, but realized I needed to remove the massive wardrobe, it was a job too heavy for just me so I paused the line of attack and started elsewhere.

I removed all the wooden panelling from this side of the wall, and honestly it is already looking so much better. This is a fun room to destroy because it is so little I can see the progress.

Next up in this room, removing the rest of the paneling around the stairs and removing the wardrobe.

Next up in general is to clean up the spare room so I can finish removing render from the wall.
