A slight plan shift

So my original plan was to focus entirely on downstairs, put in heating, kitchen, etc. But as timing would have it, that isn't entirely feasible. The heating will take 12 weeks start to finish, with one of the later steps being pouring concrete for the downstairs flooring, which by current estimates will be happening in December, this is not ideal for setting concrete.
Additionally I have realized that whilst my current accomodations are comfortable enough, coming into winter I would prefer to be in hard standing. So I have rotated my plan just slightly.
I am starting on the upstairs, bringing it to a point it will be weather proof and I can put a mattress and my office upstairs. Also installing my upstairs bathroom (no hot water though).
So to the end I have started stripping my upstairs rooms.

My first job was to remove this false wall, which I knew concealed some previous shoddy construction work.
The results were not pretty.

Random concrete blocks and patch work. Which, unfortunately, does not bode well for the structural integrity of my middle chimney.
In the end this is what I was left with in what will be my master room.

Which is freaked me out a little, so I abandoned working on that room in favour of my guest room, but I think that will be my next post.
Next steps on this room, remove debris and carpet then remove panel ceiling.
Next steps overall, remove panel ceiling and render from walls in spare room.
