The heart of the home

For me the kitchen is the heart of the home, my absolute favourite place to invite people. One of my greatest joys is cooking with other people, something I learnt to do with my mum and will continue to do with all the people who are important in my life. So obviously the kitchen is somewhere I have dreamed of, I have items I would love; a range cooker, exposed wood, an island.
So these are the absolutely stunning kitchens that I am taking inspiration from when I come to the actual designing of my kitchen.
Due to the age of the house, the original house had a tiny kitchen and no bathroom, so when they previous owners added an extension they added a kitchen and bathroom together, this has resulted in a beautiful and light kitchen. However, the bathroom joins to the kitchen, which is not something I generally like, my plan is the move the bathroom. This would increase the size of kitchen, however does distinctly increase the amount of remodeling required, one of the things it would enable would be a pantry.
A pantry is not on my list of requirements at all, but the fact that the infrastructure is already in place, that the house seems designed for it and I can absolutely see it when I close my eyes means that I cannot help but think about what it would look like and how amazing it could be. So have some more pictures, but this time of beautiful pantries, also look at the one with the ladder, I didn't know that this was something I needed until I saw the picture.
So anyway I hope you enjoyed all the many pictures of kitchens and pantries and you can start to get an impression for the style of home I would like to create. Although there is absolutely no way mine will ever be as neat and tidy as those beautiful kitchens, but I can always try.
